MyMedicare
What is MyMedicare
MyMedicare is a new voluntary registration program that will help us formalise the relationship between you and your clinic, your doctor and your care team for better support, easier access to telehealth consultations and a range of other benefits. MyMedicare is open to Australians with a Medicare card or a Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) Veteran Card.
Why register for MyMedicare?
- Medicare funding for Extended Telehealth
- More support for regular health assessments, care plans and GP visits if you are in residential aged care
- Increased funding for your care if you have complex conditions or chronic disease/s and often need to go to hospital
- Connections to more appropriate care in general practice for people with chronic disease, or who visit hospital frequently
- Improved continuity of care with your dedicated healthcare team, fostering a strong and trusted patient-provider relationship for your ongoing health needs.
Eligibility
MyMedicare is a free for Australians with a Medicare card or a DVA Veteran Card who regularly attend our Centre.
You’re eligible to register if you’ve had:
- 2 or more visits at our Centre in the past 2 years
- People who are facing hardship will be exempt from all eligibility requirements. This includes people experiencing domestic and family violence and homelessness.
- Parents/guardians and children can be registered at our Centre, if either is eligible and registered. A parent/guardian must register a child under 14 years and provide consent on their behalf and this registration will need to be completed at the Centre.
